Welcome to HomeMaker for Libraries! Now you can create your own complete library web site painlessly! You decide which pages you want to create, enter information about your library, and with the click a button, create an entire web site. The process really is very simple and should only take a couple of hours, even less if you prepare ahead of time! You can stop any time and then log back in later to finish or edit your pages.

Perhaps you would like to see sample pages created using HomeMaker for Libraries before you begin the process of gathering and entering data. Here is a list of the various pages that HomeMaker for Libraries can generate. Take a look. Notice the names of the files. You must use these same names in order for your pages to link properly to each other.

Homepage (main.html) Frequently Asked Questions (faq.html) Finding Things in the Library (lib.html)
What's Happening at the Library? (happen.html) About the Library (about.html) Library Board, Friends and Commissions (friends.html)
*Searching the Internet (search.html) *Using the Catalog (cat.html) *These support files were created for you and require no input. You can edit them or delete them later using the instructions provided in Beyond HomeMaker.

In order to make your experience with HomeMaker for Libraries simple and efficient, we recommend that you gather information about your library before you log in. Our Preparation Overview provides a checklist to help with this process. In addition, you will need to save your files using our specific filenames or else the links will not work. You can change them later when you put them on your server. These names are provided on the Preparation Overview along with a description of the various sections. The names also appear later in HomeMaker for Libraries.
