Using Two Windows
Using Filamentality and searching at the same time can be a breeze if you use two separate browser windows. If you use the search engines provided in Filamentality, they will automatically open a new browser window. This lets you search in one browser window and keep Filamentality open in another window for pasting. (If this doesn't work, try Opening Your Own New Window.) Once a new window is open, position the windows so that you can get to either one by clicking on it. (You might have to resize the windows and carefully position them so you can see them both.) You can also use the task bar at the bottom of your monitor to go back and forth between the two. Either way, you can keep both the search engine and Filamentality open and copy and paste between them. You might want to close the search engine window(s) when you're finished with them so you don't clutter your desktop / program manager / brain.

Opening Your Own New Window

  1. Place your cursor over the link you want to open in another window.
  2. Right click while you are over the link and a window will pop open.
  3. Choose the one that opens a New Window
