the Sampler Page

What's a Sampler?
The basic structure of a Sampler is to list a small number of really cool links (maybe 6 - 10). Then ask students questions that prompt them to explore each link from their personal opinions, experiences, and preferences. You can read more information about Samplers or get clues on questions.

Why You Want One
The purpose of a Subject Sampler is to help learners connect emotionally with the subject. Helping students connect is more important at this stage than the actual content of what they are learning. In other words, getting students interested will motivate them to learn the content.

What You'll Do Now
The purpose of the "Let's Spin a Sampler" page is to help you create your own Sampler and prepare to post it on the Web.
Final preparations before posting your own Sampler will be creating the Title and Introduction, as well as adding the questions used for each link. Finally, you'll ask learners to tell what they have learned based on their web exploration in their own words.
