Introduction
Now that you have learned the value of money now is your time to use real money! We're gonna have three teams, wich represent three different businesses. The first business will sell candy, the second business will sell cookies, and the third business will sell lemonade. Each team or business will receive $30. The money that you earn will be used to create a christmas party.


Task
What is your selling goal? what is your strategy to sell your product? how are you going to manage your budget?


Process
Each team or business will create a stand to sell the product.You are going to create a budget, and list the items and ingredients needed to create the selling product. Lastly you are going to use your imagination and creativity to sell the product and raise the most money possible. Each member of team will have their own task. You can do it!

Phase 1 - Background Information
These sites are important because they will help you find the products you need. Everyone should explore these sites before starting their own individual tasks.


Phase 2 - Roles
These roles were chosen because they each define the most important elements of making a business. Each of you has been assigned a particular role with links and instructions below. Here are the general instructions for everyone. Please review the specific instructions and questions below.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Two members from each WebQuest team will explore one of the roles below.

2. Read through the intruction papers designated for your group. give each member of your team their designited task.

3. Focus on what you've learned into one main opinion that answers the Big Quest(ion) or Task.

Purchaser:

Use the Internet information linked below to answer these questions specifically related to Purchaser:

1. You are going to be in charge of finding supplies that will fit the given budget. You will turn a supply list into your accountant and he/she will then give you the money to buy supplies.

Advertiser:

Use the Internet information linked below to answer these questions specifically related to Advertiser:

1. Needs to make posters to 'sell' the products to the classmates. Be creative and have fun designing the sign

Accountant:

Use the Internet information linked below to answer these questions specifically related to Accountant:

1. You are in charge of keeping the money in order. You give money to the purchaser once the members of your group approve the supply list. You also keep track of what money is spent and then earned over the one month period of time.


Phase 3 - Reaching Consensus
The 'real world' experience gained from this lesson was to learn how to cooperate with each other and how to work together on a large task. The students will gain a better understanding of how to use and spend their money; and learn how to make good choices when using their money when trying to make a profit.


Conclusion
Were you and your group successful sellers? Did you work together to be the best store possible? Was your money goal met? What other parts of Business could still be explored? Remember, learning never stops
