Drama 9

Write a one-page, double-spaced, 12pt Times New Roman [Roman] response to the articles,in the first person, about how you relate to the points, concepts and/or point of view in the articles. For example, part of your response might sound something like:

'After reading the part about the artists struggle in this article, I can relate to it because in my acting, dancing, film making, graphic design, I deal with trying to stay true to what I feel I need to express by tuning out negative thoughts. This worked for me when I performed over the summer in etc, etc, etc.
Give specific examples.

Hand one paper in for each of the next 5 classes.

Use 'I' statements: DO NOT SUMMARIZE THE ARTICLES.
It will be important to choose one point in the article that causes you to reflect on your own work as an artist, it will be impossible to respond to the entire article in one page. The 'Lying' article is really long, so just read the first page if you like, there will be plenty to respond to on that page.

Write whatever seems relevant to you, I'll read it, and possibly ask for revisions, so just get your thoughts on paper and remember to embrace the ambiguity if any.

Bring your work in on Monday Sept 14

This is a really open assignment; it should look beautiful, and show your ability to express yourself in visual media, 2D or 3D, however you feel you'd like to get across the information. Think of your assignment as if it were going to be used as a teaching tool. You can email me if you really need to, but its better to email someone in your class, or answer your own question by making an artistic choice.
