Data-Driven Decision Making Assessment Tool - This tool from the Conssortium for School Networking (CoSN) allows educators to self-assess their readiness to use the data-driven decision making process.
Inside the Classroom Observation and Analytic Protocol - This observation tool can be used to measure several indicators of success. Learning with Technology Profile Tool - From the North Central Regional Education Laboratory and the North Central Regional Technology in Education Consortium, this profile tool will help you to compare your current instructional practices with a set of indicators for engaged learning and high-performance technology. For each category, there is a description of the indicators and examples that fall along a continuum.
Measuring the Impact of Technology on Classroom Teaching and Learning - This monograph is from the Appalachian Technology in Education Consortium (ATEC) and the Mid-Atlantic Regional Technology in Education Consortium (MARTEC). It is intended to help states, school districts, and school personnel plan ways to measure the impact that technology is having on classroom practices and academic achievement.
National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers (NETS*T) - This link takes you to the teacher area for the national standards. There are a number of resources provided along with a listing of the standards and performance indicators for each.
School Observation Measure - The School Observation Measure (SOM), is a summary of ten 15-minute observations conducted in a single day. Multiple observations using the SOM allow researchers to determine the extent to which different common and alternative instructional practices are used in a school. School personnel can then evaluate actual, observed classroom practices within the context of their instructional goals. Technology in the Classroom Rubric - This easy to use rubric developed by Susan Brooks-Young and Harvey Barnett enables a principal to observe student and teacher interaction with technology. The tool helps the observer determine which of the 5 ACOT Levels of Use is reflected in the lesson.
