Discovering Lewis and Clark
- Over 1400 pages and new episodes each month. Features 'illustrated selections form the journals of hte expedition, photographs, maps, animated graphics, moving pictures, and sound files. Divided into major categories and subcategories. --The School Librarian's Workshop
Lewis and Clark: The Maps of Exploration, 1507-1814
- The University of Virginia Library adn the Lewis and Clark Trail Heritage Foundation features this exhibit of journals and historical maps. The four map sections trace the chronology from the European perspective of the New World and the challenge to finding a way to Asia through the French, Portuguese, Spanish, and English exploration, then the land grants and charters (Jefferson's and Lewis' families received these in the middle 1700s) to the explorations that inspired the Lewis and Clark Expedition and refined geographics theories of North America. --The School Librarian's Workshop
