Biomes-Habitats
- This is a student friendly site that has charts, maps and pictures that make finding information on a particular biome easy to find. Downside to this site is that you need to subscribe to the site if you don't want a bunch of pop up advertising.

- This student friendly site walks the students through what a biome is, how to read a climograph, and the important features of each major biome, including its climograph, animals and plant life.

- This site offers information on each biome, and includes specific information on plants, animals and climate for each biome. A great resource for pictures of these plants and animals.
Biomes
- This website was created by 9th grade students in Oregon. It features pages on each of the major biomes, but is unique in that each biome has three different pages written by different groups of students. Each page is different because each group placed importance on different aspects of the biome they researched. This is a great way to show students who are researching a biome that there are many ways of presenting what they have learned based on what they have found to be the most important information.

- This NASA sponsored site is another useful site for accessing information about the various biomes. It also includes to missions for the students to complete, one on temperature and precipitation graphs which was a little complicated, and another on plants and their biomes which is doable as long as the students have read through the information on all of the biomes and understand each biomes characteristics.
The Cyberzoo
- This website was created by seventh grade students in conjunction with Syracuse University. It's focus is the results of their study of zoo animals, organized by their natural habitat or biome, in their habitats and the conclusions they made about how they believe the animals interact in their natural habitats. The unique part of this site is the student made food webs created for each animal, an important California fourth grade science standard.

- This site provides information on both land and water biomes. Provided with each biome is also a plant and animal guide with useful information, charts and pictures.
Rainforest Virtual Tour for Young Travelers
- This site is a virtual fieldtrip of a rainforest in Nicaragua. It includes information about the plants and animals, as well as life for people in the rainforest through the eyes of children who live there. It talks about the problem of deforestation and its affects on the people who live in the rainforest.
