Welcome to Caesar's Salad.........a web site designed for those who are interested in learning about the 'ingredients' of the civilization of Ancient Rome. From language to daily life, from emperors to gods, this site will help you learn all about the Rome of the Caesars. The links below will get you started.

This site was originally designed for my Latin students (grades 6-12), but anyone interested in learning about the civilization of Ancient Rome should find these links helpful. They seem to be accurate, interesting and quite delightful! ENJOY!

Roman Gods - This site (created by a teacher) is all about the Roman gods. These web pages are designed with young children in mind, hoewever there is good information and some fun activities (Build your own mosaic, etc).
The Etrucscans - A great site for those looking to learn about the Etruscans. Larth the Etruscan, navigator, merchant and warrior is your guide through this site.
The Imperial Fora of Ancient Rome - This site is run by the City of Rome, and it has information on everything from Fora (its specialty) to live Rome webcams.

Ancient Rome - This site has some wonderful links, others are not as strong. CAVE!

Horace's Villa - This site is all about the current excavations going on at Horace's villa. It included historical information about Horace as well as photographs of the archaeological excavation.
Illustrated History of the Roman Empire - The title seems to say it all.
Military Resources - Military Resources. This is a great site with links to all aspects of warfare in antiquity! Visit here to find out about strategies of the Romans generals or what weapons were used by the Roman legions. This site primarily deals with the Roman Military, but there are a few links which will take you to the Greek army as well.
