Introduction

Hunt away and find all you can about animal habitats. Think about why these animals live where they do and how they have changed to survive in their habitat.Explore and enjoy your adventures around the world. Take many paths that may lead you to animals you have never see before.





Questions

  1. Visit the habitats site. Pick three different animal habitats and name one animal that lives there.

  2. Have fun playing the Match-Up game and visiting the Magic school bus site, then go to the book site under TV books and find the title of the book that is about animal Habitats.

  3. Pick any continent from the Creature of the World site and then select one animal. Name the animal you picked, which habitat it lives in, and list one interesting 'footprint' fact.

  4. Because so many animals are becoming part of the endangered list, zoos are starting to build artifical habitats. Name and describe one of the habitats that the Wellington Zoo in New Zealand have recreated.


  5. Visit Really Wild Animals from around the world using your spin-u-lator, then give three new facts that you learned about the animal habitats.

The Big Question

Once you have finished visiting all the web-sites, stop and think about which one you enjoyed the most. Write a 3 or 4 sentences about why it was your favorite. Then pick the habitat that you learned the most about and write a 5 to 6 sentences describing it, where it can be found around the world and some animals that might live there.
