Double Visions

Go to Double Visions!
The Double Visions Activity lets students choose one of nine sets of artworks to compare and contrast, then view larger versions of the artworks and answer a series of interpretive questions.

Background
The purpose of Double Visions is to help you to look more closely at works of art. The way we do this is to ask you to compare/contrast two interestingly matched artworks. See what you can see! If you like you can read a more complete description of the ideas behind this activity.

Instructions
If you are new to this activity, please read the Seeing Questions. They give you an idea of the kind of things you can look for in general. A fey key questions are provided for each pair to get you started

Respecting Artists' Rights
The artworks for this activity are used with permission of The Fine Art Museums of San Francisco and come from their Thinker Imagebase (www.famsf.org). To do the Double Visions activities, you must read and understand the © Copyright Agreement. Do you want to know why you should do this?
