Updating Adventures and more...
Oh, the places you will go while using interactive videoconferencing! Students and teachers can see and hear each other simultaneously whether across the state or around the world. The technology is ideal for virtual fieldtrips, meetings, collaborations and community events.
Videoconferencing Advenures
Use these “yellow pages” as sampling of resources to start your own adventures! The Videoconferencing Adventures guide is nearly completed. Updating this guide is a Herculean task and thank goodness, Linda Uhrenholt is up to it again! We will be placing the latest edition back on KNE soon for you to download soon. The URL will remain the same: http://www.kn.sbc.com/wired/vidconf/adventures.pdf
Videoconferencing Directory
Our searchable database of schools, businesses, and content providers has recently been upgraded and now allows participants to log in and edit their entries at will. We have been contacting existing participants and sending them their usernames and passwords. If you haven't entered your information intothe Directory, now is as good a time as any! Enter your site/program information or search the Directory for programs and collaborators today.
Collaboration Collage
The SBC Collaboration Collage listserv continues to grow. Since this recent school year began, the membership has increased by over 100 to a total of 1309. This listserv is appropriate for seeking subject-area experts or classroom collaborations, for posting questions, and for sharing successes or lessons learned. An archive of messages is kept at Yahoo!Groups if you would like to see previous messages before you join.
There is a form on the homepage that you can use to join. |
